Channelwrack / Pelvetia
Pelvita or Channelwrack is found on the upper shore and in the splash zones , it’s the smallest and the furthest up the shore so it holds onto water to survive longer animals such as sheep have been observed eating it when the tide is low … they instinctively know its benefits!It is high in many trace elements such as the incredibly essential selenium….which helps assist with cognitive function and fertility particularly . Selenium may also help prevent cardiovascular disease, thyroid problems, cognitive decline, which means disorders related to thinking, cancer, and others so it is therefore vital for health. It has been thought to help aid with asthma symptoms as it is has strong anti inflammatory properties, such properties could also improve poor circulation and heart health as-well as aiding white blood cells which are vital in protecting against disease … on top of all this, it is also very tasty addition to food and is great in stir fries and also pickles well..
Delivery is free for all orders over €60 to Ireland.
